The team you will be a part of

The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.

This role in summary

Engineering Analyst, will be placed in Celaya /Mx to lead or give support to product engineering team for:

  • Releasing engineering changes in new product development

  • Leading cost reduction projects for laundry products

  • Leading quality improvement projects for laundry products

  • Daily support with the factory in order to cover production issues or emergencies.

This opportunity is located in Cetec Engineering Center, located in Celaya/MX, and it is part of the Global Engineering Organization for product development, that aims to support people development and product leadership development across the organization.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Lead cost reduction and quality improvement projects.

  • Work closely with the product engineering team to lead and participate on cost reduction initiatives and pipeline generation

  • Participate on manufacturing plant reviews for quality and day-to-day support in order to provide proper engineering support on requested issues

  • Prepare engineering notices and structure bills of material for assemblies

  • Ensure factory productivity by resolving factory issues associated with product design in alignment with subsystem teams

  • Identify and capture efficiency opportunities through product design improvements

  • Seamless integration of final manufactured products from Concept through Production Validation for all projects

  • Maintenance of business (MOB) associated with factory emergencies (triage). Troubleshoot issues found during production, variance validation and submission.

  • MOB associated with factory productivity opportunities. Partnering with subsystem, procurement, marketing and manufacturing teams to identify design, manufacturing process and assembly improvements that will drive cost take out and improve quality.

  • Lead basic project design objectives and the selection of design approaches. Coordinate design, documentation, and transition to production activities related to new product design and development.

Provide status reports and attend design review and pre production activities as appropriate.

Minimum requirements

  • Engineering Degree

  • 2-4 years of Engineering & technical experience

  • Proficiency in FMEA, PFMEA and knowledge about Opex tools

  • Good Communication skills to different audiences (engineering and manufacturing, marketing, procurement)

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence others, driving consensus

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Have advanced or Fluent level of English

  • Knowledge of CAD/CAE tools and drawing technical analysis

  • Previous experiences with project management/execution/ planning
