The team you will be a part of
The Program manager in Whirlpool is a project leader w/ responsibility in strategic planning and budget management. The role reports to the Gladiator|Licencing|CPG Business Unit, Engineering Sr. Manager.
This role in summary
The primary function of this role is to lead the planning and the product development cycle for Gladiator and CPG business, with strong interaction w/ cross functional partners. The Program manager will be accountable to deliver product in production on time, meeting all requirements, including cost, quality and performance targets.

Your responsibilities will include
Lead planning cycle for Gladiator and CPG business.
Projects prioritization in line w/ category strategic roadmap.
Collect project requirements from all stakeholders, managing trade-offs to meet project goals.
Manages cross-functional teams from the project charter creation, and resource allocation, to the project development and execution.
Responsible for driving Product Leadership through WPD (Whirlpool Product Development) and stage-gate approach.
Management of project KPIs. Ensure project development activities are completed on time, meeting all requirements, including cost, quality and performance targets.
Handle multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to implementation using the project management tools by closely working with Technical project leader and X-functional partners.
Lead technical Gates, leadership Review and CBT.
Projects Budget management: Forecast, actuals tracking and budget reports
Minimum requirements
Master Degree in Engineering or related field
3+ years of experience in product development (project management and/or planning)
Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.
Team player, results oriented with a strong problem-solving attitude.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. This includes the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of Whirlpool’s organization
Excellent analytical skills and Long term strategic view
Preferred skills and experiences
Project Management certification (PMP) is an added advantage
Problem-solving approach with OPEX (Operational Excellence) or Six Sigma certification
Experience with projects using a stage-gate process and Agile methodology.
Experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
Experience facilitating effective communication across teams
Experience launching a product in the market
