Dunrovin is Whirlpool Corporation's private 155-acre conference center and retreat. On site recreation including fly fishing, tennis, skeet range, trails and more. Food and beverage is focused on fine, modern cuisine and wines. PM Shift: 3:00pm - 11:00pm. Seasonal/Temporary Position.
Service of meals to Conference Center guests
Fine dining multi-course meal service delivery including, plating of each course, table busing and beverage service.
All dining room cleaning and sanitation.
Cross functional responsibilities in grounds and housekeeping departments as business flow requires.
Individual should be a person of unquestionable integrity and a team player.
A strong desire to anticipate our guest’s hospitality requirements and deliver exceptional guest satisfaction for our diverse, international clientele is a must.
Strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task is key to the fast paced environment that is subject to change from moment to moment.
Arrive 1 hour before scheduled breakfast time or 3 ½ hours before scheduled dinner time
Work closely with and take direction from chef. Check agenda daily to note changes to meal details and dietary restrictions
Check dining room to ensure it is in order. Clean fireplace if needed and reset. Light fire ½ before meal - weather permitted
Place dietary cards out pre meal on first day of guest services. This is done with each group - each week
PM Shift - open red wine 2 hours prior to dinner
Set up hot buffet (when guest count is over 14 notify Chef when items need to be restocked). When all guests arrive, start pouring wine, identify dietary restricted guests, note name and table and let Chef know the number of guests on each table. Clear dishes after each course and set up for dessert and coffee served individually. At the end of the PM shift, wipe down dining room chairs and tables and counters and reset table for breakfast.
Keep all work stations clean
After Brunch on Sunday, you are responsible for weekly thorough cleaning of the dining room.
Maintain food quality
Driver company car / golf cart throughout resort.
High School Diploma
Valid Driver's License
1+ years of Server experience within a resort or conference center setting.
Lead Server experience
