This role in summary
Whirlpool is seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Dishwasher at the Dunrovin Conference Center. Dunrovin Conference Center is a private conference center/lodge owned and utilized by Whirlpool Corporation. Located in Baldwin, Michigan, Dunrovin Conference Center is placed on 214 acres of beautiful woodlands. At Dunrovin Conference Center, we focus on fine cuisine and amazing guest experiences.
Your responsibilities will include
Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times.
Clean work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware.
Perform basic janitorial skills to clean up spills, broken glassware, etc. immediately
Breakdown cardboard boxes for disposal as well as empty & clean all trash/linen receptacles.
Responsible for operating and monitoring proper functioning of equipment to include mixers and
choppers; following safety procedures for using equipment; sanitizing the work area during and after use.
Stock and maintain designated food stations.
Visually inspect all food items delivered from suppliers.
Practice correct food handling and storage procedures.
Ability to work weekends and holidays.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum requirements
High School Diploma or GED
1+ years of professional or commercial kitchen experience
Preferred skills and experiences
Good verbal communications and work well in a team environment.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand and stay active for long periods of time.
Maintaining standards of cleanliness and following health code requirements.
Thirst for knowledge and growth within our company.
Experience with kitchen work, including but not limited to sanitation, knife work, vegetable prep RSRWH
