This role in summary

Whirlpool is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Procurement Analyst . The role will be located onsite at our World Head Quarters in Benton Harbor, MI.

The Analyst, Procurement role manages new product launches from Supplier development, sourcing selection through the entire project lifecycle to achieve Cost & Quality targets and maintain program timing according to critical project tollgates. Additionally manages cost reduction activities and quality initiatives for current products. Leads and coordinates activities with internal process partners. Key Procurement reference person for New Products and Cost & Quality improvements.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Collaborate with process partners to deliver project KPI’s

  • Manage launch, cost, and quality of multiple projects throughout product life cycles to achieve unit cost targets, quality targets, and maintain program timing for assigned commodities

  • Develop a detailed action plan for each supplier to meet project deliverables for mass production

  • Lead & coordinate internal deliverables to suppliers – demand planning, designs, quality, cost targets, Phase In/Phase Out

  • Resolve launch readiness situations and prepare/ensure cost, schedule, and quality objectives are achieved

  • Track and evaluate supplier activities against their launch plan.

  • Balance activities for multiple projects to ensure all priorities and key objectives are met.

  • Monitor supplier quality deliverables, occasional travel to suppliers for face-to-face reviews and readiness discussions

  • Validate, kick-off, and track supplier capital & tooling

  • Lead & coordinate day-to-day activities during the new model transition process for the supplier and cross-functional internal team – Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing.

  • Monitor and track key performance indicators for assigned commodities

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 1+ years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain or Business

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management

  • 2+ years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain or Business

  • Manage critical projects in adherence to objectives and milestones

  • Handle multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Planning, organizational, managing, financial, and analytical skills

  • Interpersonal, motivational, and influential skills to engage business partners

  • Leadership attributes and decision-making abilities

  • Customer focus with the ability to communicate with all levels of the business effectively

  • Written and verbal communication (English language), with proficient PC-related skills
