Procurement IT Systems Manager

Function Overview:

Whirlpool manages Procurement Information and Risk Management as a regional function for North America based out of our North American Region (NAR) Headquarters in Southwest (SW) Michigan, where this position will be based.

The Information and Risk Management team manages all Procurement IT Systems, Supplier Risk Management, Supplier Compliance and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) Dashboards required to support all functional areas throughout procurement.

In this role, you will have accountability for Procurement IT Systems, including Vendor Master Maintenance, Contract Management, Procure to Pay, eSourcing, SAP, and Tableau. This role will have people leadership responsibility of 4 direct reports.

The ideal candidate will possess the right balance of strategic thought leadership, operational excellence, and IT technical acumen to develop solutions that optimize results for Whirlpool Corporation. You will develop, lead and execute a systems strategy roadmap, assess new demands with business partners, manage operational activities supporting the business function’s application, establish sustainable plans for technology as well as end-user training/change management, evaluate short and long-term technology solutions, manage technology evaluation and procurement processes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for region Procurement Information Technology (IT) Systems

  • Create a global/regional system strategy roadmap that will deliver system rationalization and enhanced capabilities

  • Lead organizational change management and training for procurement systems

  • Create, measure, and execute system Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that optimize system usage across procurement

  • Exhibit effective cross-functional leadership, project management, and communication skills in the support of key internal stakeholders

  • Partner with global peers Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, Latin America Region, China, and India to generate a global systems strategy

  • Drive effective on-time project delivery with cross-functional teams and 3rd Party Software providers

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 5+ Years of experience in Business, Information Technology, Procurement, Supply Chain, or Engineering

  • Experience in Organizational Change Management (OCM)

Preferred Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree

  • A strategic orientation with an ability to influence and drive improvements throughout the organization

  • Career progression of upward roles as a result of leadership and impactful results

  • Strong communication skills with an ability to gather/leverage facts to generate confidence across the enterprise

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, priorities, and commitments concurrently

  • Drive, thought leadership and ability to learn and adapt quickly

  • People Management skills highly developed

  • Proven project management, SCRUM or Agile Certification

  • Ability to network cross-functionally across multiple functions with the ability to win the confidence and trust of colleagues

  • A positive, winning attitude with the ability to lead, facilitate and interact with a global team

  • Familiarity with Procurement Information Technology (IT) systems

  • Strong decision-making skills with clear goals for meetings or projects

  • Experience with medium to large information technology projects

  • Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs. and translate them into operational and project requirements
