Whirlpool Sales Skills Training Senior Manager

Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for the Whirlpool Sales Skills Development Senior Manager opening to join our Sales Enablement organization.

Function Overview

Responsible for the creation of the strategy and tactics to train and develop our selling organization across channels as we compete to win business wherever we sell. This position will manage the intake or new employees into our current Real Whirled internship and full time program with oversight into its curriculum, training, onboarding and talent assessment. This position will also manage the training and development of our existing salesforce with the evolution of tools and training to strengthen how we sell our product across the landscape. Ultimately the Sales Skills Development Senior Manager is responsible for ensuring all sales channels continue to improve and document their selling process to ensure our sales force will continue to achieve their sales goals.

Job Responsibilities

  • Construct a competency based selling strategy that leverages soft skills, category management and product knowledge to help Sales Enablement create a culture of learning that further enhances trade partner relationships

  • Define plans to evolve our current Whirlpool Selling Way (WSW) strategy into its next phase of life with planned agency coordination and implementation

  • Manage and develop a team of two direct reports and one indirect report as well as the intake of college students into our selling organization

  • Interact / collaborate / influence internal contacts such as merchandising, product managers, brand managers and senior sales leaders to support and build out selling process and education

  • Design and develop salesforce education materials as well as define means of the integration of soft skill selling methodologies into successful selling strategies

  • Support the adoption of new technologies into our sales training, salesforce.com, e-learning, webinars and emerging technologies

  • Own the embedment of the soft skill sales strategy for our annual National Sales Training Meetings with our salesforce

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, Graduate degrees a plus

  • 7+ years of selling or sales education experience

  • 3+ years of people leadership

  • Extraordinary verbal, presentation, written and communication skills

  • Business, marketing and sales acumen
