The team you will be a part of

The Digital Marketing team develops marketing, merchandising and creative strategies and affiliated programs to promote the organization's products and services through the Internet or other digital channels to increase exposure to and business from the target audience and analyzes their effectiveness. Develops and maintains website graphic designs and layout to support the organization's image, identity and brands. May be responsible for social media marketing and online community management.

This role in summary

Whirlpool Corporation is seeking a Sr Copywriter for its in-house, award-winning creative agency and studio, WoW Studios. Our growing team of passionate and collaborative humans is focused on best-in-class advertising, storytelling, and consumer experience for all of Whirlpool’s brands including KitchenAid, Whirlpool, JennAir, Maytag, and Amana. We’re committed to increasing and elevating Whirlpool’s output of campaigns, content, design, experiences, and digital innovation across all consumer touchpoints (in-store, film, social, digital, experiential, etc).

WoW Studios is located in the historic Reid Murdoch Building (https://www.worldofwhirlpool.com/) at the edge of Chicago’s Riverwalk and at Whirlpool’s Global Headquarters in Benton Harbor, MI.

In this role, you will concept and execute a range of ideas and executions that support the consumer's path to purchase across our entire portfolio of brands. Projects may include, but are not limited to:

  • Video/Animation for new and existing products

  • Messaging and Content development for product launch

  • Digital content for retailer platforms

  • Social content for all major platforms

  • Post-purchase user content

  • Retailer specific programs

You will develop a deep understanding of our consumer decision journey and navigate research, engineering and human insights to create compelling, on-brand product stories that transform cold metal boxes into essential household products. Your day to day will consist of solving a variety of creative challenges, handling multiple projects with a can-do attitude and actively seeking collaboration and feedback to make your work the best it can be.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Collaborate closely with creative teams and with key brand partners to support the development of creative content that meets brand strategy and drives action.

  • Bring creative ideas to life across a wide scope of projects and through a variety of digital and social touchpoints.

  • Be a maestro of words to help drive the brand voice forward and realize the creative vision by writing and developing content for multichannel campaigns.

  • Reflect and express brand strategies with breakthrough ideas and compelling content.

  • Participate in the production of creative assets across the Consumer Decision Journey.

  • Develop a deep knowledge of the brand, the category and the future of home care to apply across all work.

  • Articulate creative intent to others and proactively coordinate with partners and stakeholders to bring ideas to life.

  • Participate in a collaborative working environment across creative disciplines and across the agency.

  • Be a good human being that brings passion for the work and compassion for teammates.

Minimum requirements

You must provide a creative portfolio with your application to be considered for this role

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing & content creation for established brands

  • Experience in an agency or in-house setting

  • Problem-solving mentality; self-motivated and strong intuition about brand development and execution

  • Collaborative, generous team player, ready to share ideas and willing to build on the ideas of others
