The team you will be a part of:
The Accounting team establishes and maintains accounting policies and controls, fiscal controls, preparing financial reports and safeguarding the organization's assets. Maintains accounting and financial records and reports, including general ledger, financial statements, regulatory and management reports.
This role in summary:
This role will be a part of Shared Services Centre responsible for managing team in the areas of Consolidation & Reporting, SOX Controls, IFC, Financial Statements and Continuous Process improvement.
Key Stakeholders:
Internal: India Business Stakeholders eg Business Teams, Legal & Secretarial, Tax & Treasury, IA etc.
External : Statutory Auditors (SRB).
Your responsibilities will include:
Responsible for Stakeholders Management Business Partnering, KPIs delivery wrt book closing, Fixed Asset accounting, inventory valuation, payroll accounting, lease accounting, intercompany accounting etc.
Month / Quarterly / Annual Closing under IGAAP & UGAAP and timely submission of Reporting Packages to Regional consolidation Team.
Maintaining hygiene of books and analyzing GAAP differences
Preparation of Financial Statements. Standalone and Consolidated as per schedule III. Preparation of SEBI One Pager, XBRL
Ensuring timely successful Statutory Audit closure of all entities entrusted without any major audit point by effective collaborating with auditors and business team.
Ensuring correct accounting, global and local policy compliance, enhancing SOX controls & IFC for the different entities for Whirlpool of India and Elica India
Regular support to other function eg direct tax, indirect tax for timely closure of tax audits and responding to regulator’s queries
Analysis and review of monthly Legal & Management P&Ls and Balance Sheet along with the CFO.
Blackline GL Reconciliations
Capacity planning for team members to ensure optimum resources utilization.
Ensuring SOPs and Work Documentation for all the processes and work areas.
Driving automation initiatives, RPAs and Lean Ideas in the processes.
Developing talent pool to manage contingencies and succession planning.
Minimum requirements:
Chartered Accountant
3-5 years of experience
Hands-on SAP expertise (FICO, MM and SD)
Expert knowledge of Ind AS, US GAAP, SOX Controls, IFC
Hands-on experience of preparation of financials statements as per schedule III and Big4 and annual audit closure
