This role in summary
Whirlpool Latin America is seeking a visionary and experienced Director of Digital Products to lead the digital transformation of our business in the region. This critical role will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive digital strategy that drives growth, enhances customer eCommerce experiences, and positions Whirlpool as a leader in the Latin American market with iconic brands such as KitchenAid, Whirlpool, Maytag, Consul, Brastemp and others.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Latin American digital landscape, consumer behavior, and emerging technologies. They will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a passion for innovation. This role will encompass oversight of UX/UI Design, Agile Product Development, CRM and Data Integration, and MarTech Solutions. This role will be based at our Whirlpool offices in São Paulo, Brazil.
Your responsibilities will include
Digital Product Strategy:
Develop and execute a comprehensive digital product strategy aligned with business objectives.
Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in digital offerings, ensuring competitive advantage.
User Experience (UX/UI):
Lead the design and implementation of user-centric interfaces and experiences across all digital products.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather user feedback and iterate on designs, ensuring a seamless user journey.
CRM & Data Management:
Oversee the integration of CRM systems to enhance customer relationship management and data analytics.
Utilize data-driven insights to inform product decisions, enhance customer experiences, and drive engagement.
Marketing Technology (MarTech):
Evaluate and implement MarTech solutions that optimize marketing efforts and improve campaign effectiveness.
Collaborate with marketing teams to leverage technology for personalized marketing strategies and customer engagement.
Team Leadership and Development:
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of product managers, UX/UI designers, and data analysts.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the team.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to ensure alignment on product vision and priorities.
Communicate product roadmaps, progress, and performance metrics to internal and external stakeholders.
Market Analysis and Trends:
Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital products and UX/UI.
Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth.
Minimum requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
10+ years of professional experience or 5+ years with an advanced degree, including experience managing digital marketing, product management, design teams or a P&L.
5+ years of experience in a people leadership role.
Fluency in English and Portuguese is required. Spanish is a plus.
Preferred skills and experiences
Deep understanding of digital product development methodologies, UX/UI best practices, CRM strategies, and MarTech landscape.
Experience in translating digital expertise into business and brand building activity (e.g., P&L impact / shopper to consumer acquisition, engagement and retention).
Experience in multiple design disciplines (e.g., User Experience, User Interface, visual design, prototyping) and prior work experience demonstrating design process, clear insights, problem solving, and simple solutions.
Experience delivering high-quality experiences in close partnership with data engineering.
Demonstrated ability to work across organization boundaries to collaboratively solve ecosystem-wide user problems.
Passionate about leading teams against ambiguous problems, and building, and communicating a vision on how to overcome these problems.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
